Jazz First at its core is a piano-bass-drums jazz trio based in southern New Hampshire devoted to the performance of straight-ahead jazz and blues standards, written primarily in the first half of the twentieth century. In addition to the trio, we work with vocalists and other instrumentalists, allowing us to offer various sounds depending upon an event's needs. We play in restaurants and bars, for various fundraisers, perform concerts for local organizations, play for weddings, and perform at private parties. Trio News

The trio and our vocalist, Debbie Nordkyke, went into the Soul Shop recording studio in Medfiord, MA, on August 27th, 2011. After a full day in the studio, we walked away with 21 tracks recorded (some were duplicates, of course.) We are now processing those tracks and we'll see where they take us. Is there a new CD in our future? Maybe . . . ! Stay tuned for more news as it develops
